About David Walsh
I'm an experienced communications leader with a broad skill set who combines big picture thinking with hands-on execution. I bring more than three decades of PR agency and corporate communications experience to help emerging life sciences companies develop their stories to achieve their business goals.
Before launching Walsh Communications, I headed communications for 16 years at Biothera Pharmaceuticals (now HiberCell), a private phase 2 company developing cancer immunotherapies. I also led marketing and communications for the Biothera Health Inc. team that created Wellmune®, a premium, branded immune health functional ingredient that was formulated into numerous foods, beverages and supplements in 60 countries.

Prior to joining Biothera, I was an executive speechwriter and vice president of internal and financial communications at U.S. Bancorp, one of the nation's largest bank holding companies. Previously, I helped manage the financial services practice of the Twin Cities office of Weber Shandwick, one of the world's largest public relations agencies. I began my career as a reporter and editor after receiving a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of St. Thomas.
